"I am so grateful to have connected with Jo. Initially, I came with concerns regarding my journey with perimenopause and it was the deeper knowledge that Jo was able to provide me that gave me hope that I didn’t have to settle for the norm of suffering through this time. As I began implementing changes I became aware of an underlying self-sabotage when it came to certain food where I found myself repeating old patterns over and over again. I found I wasn’t able to identify what I deemed healthy and that when I thought of healthy for me, it was linked to isolation and overwhelm. "I started working with Jo about 8 months ago. When I met her for the first time, I had high inflammation markers, constant inexplicable nausea, anxiety, brain fog, and terrible mood swings.
We did a full panel of blood work, and she was super good at explaining my results and deficiencies. We also did a DUTCH test, and with the results, Jo was able to come up with a customised plan to help me. We started with a gut cleanse and then progressed to adding supplements to address my deficiencies. Jo was very patient with me and responded to every single question I had.

"A few months ago my 14 year old daughter started developing some worrying health issues, that included anxiety, panic attacks, dizziness
and racing heart rates.
We found ourselves being passed on from doctor to doctor and test after test without anyone really showing a proper interest in
my daughter or the source of her problems.
I contacted Jo to help us holistically and I must say that
from the first day, we felt in good hands.
After a series of blood tests done by a functional doctor, Jo helped us to establish a healthy gut and better eating habits. Following a comprehensive gut analysis, we discovered several health issues in my daughter,
such as Hashimoto’s disease.
I was initial panicking about having to go gluten and dairy free for my teen, but Jo inspired us with healthy alternative recipes, lots of reassurance and guidance. Jo has a wealth of knowledge and it helped me to know that she has children of her own, who have had health issues in the past.

"Jo is a wonderful therapist.
I was diagnosed with Hashimoto 6 months ago and saw Jo for 4 months. In that time she expertly advised me on dietary changes (AIP) and some supportive supplements to help with nutritional deficiencies to boost my ability to detox and heal.
We carried out a number of tests to find out my root cause.
I feel so much better, physically and mentally and my antibodies have dropped from 1500 to 400! She explains that the way I eat will be a lifestyle for me and really helped me see it’s completely achievable.
I had some low cortisol and sleep issues
and she knew exactly how to help me with this.
She also has an impressive notebook of practitioners and
doctors who she recommends and they were all amazing.

"When I first contacted Jo, I was feeling quite desperate and my Gastroenterologist couldn't treat the cause of my Gastritis because I didn't have an acute issue such as an ulcer or cancer. He just gave me PPI medicine which relieved my symptoms initially but made me feel worse after a while. He didn't try and find out why or how my symptoms were persisting!
So Jo helped me understand why my gastritis kept on reoccurring. She was really easy to get along with and she certainly knows her stuff! She was very patient and really listened.After an in-depth session about my medical history Jo came up with a treatment strategy that I fully bought into as she explained exactly what and why this

"I met Jo just after being diagnosed with insulin resistance. I was doing exercise every day but to no effect. I attended her Family Friendly food cookery workshops, her bootcamp classes and her ‘Weigh Less, Live more’ sessions. "Having been a regular at Jo’s bootcamps pre covid, it was natural that when I started work, I would change to personal training sessions with her. I’m sure she despaired of how much time I spent talking and my continued failure to master a proper burpee, but I so valued her friendship and advice and understanding. We laughed a lot. Jo would always have so many random questions, like how I’m sleeping and how my poo is and whether I get enough selenium or B vitamins or eat enough sea vegetables, because she genuinely cares about your health and wellbeing. Around that time I also tore my Achilles and was in a boot for 5 months, not running for almost a year. I really struggled with being so inactive but Jo devised ways to work out without putting weight on my leg, and I genuinely believe she saved my sanity by doing that. I moaned to her a lot that year and occasionally cried but she was always so positive and utterly inspiring!"

"I was struggling with a number of health issues such as Hashimotos, pre-diabetes, and aching joints and limbs, when I first contacted Jo. I was feeling constantly tired and not in control of my life and my health. Jo was very patient with me and listened carefully, taking a full history of my medical concerns. We took a full set of blood tests to investigate my thyroid levels, hormones, blood sugar, magnesium, and other minerals. She immediately prescribed some supplements that made me feel a lot better and put me in touch with a doctor who could adjust my thyroid medication, which was definitely low.Jo certainly knows her stuff and knows how to tweak things to get optimal results.
